Amador & Calaveras Counties, CA…There was a slight increase of fire activity yesterday deep within the fire perimeter. Large areas of unburned, brush flared up creating visible columns of smoke. Resources were on site to mitigate any fire spread. A type 2 helicopter has been working with ground crews to keep the fire activity well within the fire perimeter. There is a possibility of similar activity today. Firefighters continue patrolling and mopping up hot spots and smoldering stump holes. Fire suppression repair is ongoing.
