Angels Camp, CA…An Angels Camp man was driving his vehicle westbound on Murphys Grade Road, west of Ranch Road at approximately 70 miles per hour. For an unknown reason, he made an unsafe turning movement to the right and allowed his F150 to leave the roadway. It appears the Angels Camp man over-corrected back to the left and went across both traffic lanes. His truck continued out of control and left the roadway where it collided with a tree. The driver and only occupant suffered fatal injuries.

The use of alcohol and/or drugs is under investigation.
