Mather, CA…Due to the usually strong heat wave that is forecast to occur over the next seven days, Holm Power House is prepared to respond to any dispatches from the California ISO in real time. Individuals recreating on the Tuolumne River during this time should be aware that river flows may change suddenly and for an undetermined length of time.
• From September 1 through the morning of September 8 there is a possibility that Holm Powerhouse may ramp up to as much as 550cfs on short notice, for undetermined length(s) of time and at the confluence of Main Tuolumne and Cherry Creek expect 680 cfs.
• Increases would likely be during the afternoon/evening periods, as we saw during the last time we had a similar heat wave and grid-wide power deficit.
• All planned recreational releases are unchanged. Monday September 5, 2022 (Labor Day) will be the last day of recreational power generation releases (07:00-11:00) at Holm Powerhouse.
