Columbia, CA…Yesterday morning a small Barnow Barry Vari EZE experimental aircraft went down near the Columbia Airport taking the life of pilot Ken Lancaster. He was off duty CAL FIRE Tanker pilot was employed by the contracting firm that supplies and maintains the aircraft.

The plane went down late in the morning near the backyard of a home close to the airport.
