Angels Camp, CA…On Saturday and Sunday, flows in Murphys/Angels Creek are expected to be at flood stage. There will be flooding in Murphys Park, Tryon Park, on properties along Murphys Grade Road, and water will flow over roadways and low-lying, poorly drained areas.

Precautionary / preparedness actions: Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Avoid areas near Angels/Murphys Creek, including Murphys Park, Tryon Park, and roads and bridges that cross the creek. Private property owners who live along the creek are urged to use caution.

Note: The flows through Murphys Park are from the natural Murphys/Angels Creek Watershed, and Utica cannot control them during large storm events. We shut down our powerhouse and canal system to ensure we are not adding water to the flooded creek.
