About the project: The County of Calaveras, in partnership with the Calaveras Council of Governments (CCOG) and the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), have retained the services of Omni Means and their team to develop a transportation plan for the State Route 49 Corridor in San Andreas. The project will evaluate and plan for future development, focusing on the southern area of the community, and the necessary transportation improvements along the corridor.

The project will address transportation access and circulation, rates of growth and development, and coordination of growth and improvements with the community’s vision. The resulting plan will outline transportation infrastructure as well as potential private/public partnership opportunities that will assist the County in the development of this area.

Purpose and role of the Advisory Committee: The Advisory Committee will be charged with the review of key draft planning documents, advance review of public meeting materials, assistance with community outreach to stakeholder groups and general project guidance. The Advisory Committee will meet approximately quarterly for about 18 months. A specific schedule will be determined once Committee is formed.
