The Building Department continues to encourage residents to submit building plans for review and complete a building permit application prior to completion of the debris removal process. As of this week there have been 33 permit applications submitted and 21 issued. There have also been 18 Manufactured home permits submitted and of those 13 have been issued.

Roads: Many people have expressed concerns about the condition of the roads in the Butte Fire Area. Responsibility for the deterioration is not a simple issue, as it involves many things. Prior condition, multiple agencies and companies with heavy trucks and equipment (fire, PG&E, ATT, loggers, Debris Removal Operation Crews ( DROC) and others), limits on the authority and resources of the DROC mission and more. With the complexity of this issue the damage is being evaluated and a plan is in place for a resolution.
