Bear Valley, CA…Hey Good People! Opening Day is here for the 23/24 Season!!!!!! A beautiful sunny day is ahead as we open for the 2023/24 Season! With a high of 42F and clear skies things are shaping up for a great day on the hill. Winds will be lite and out of the ENE up to 9mph. High pressure ridging has its firm grip on the West Coast and clear skies and seasonable weather will be the pattern over the next 5-6 days. Temps will warm up a bit come Sunday as 46F is expected and the night- time lows will hover right around or just below the freezing level. The bigger picture here is, over the recent weeks the temperatures have aligned with our Mountain Operations Teams, and they have been crushing it with superb snow making efforts which is allowing us to open the Cub Meadow areas and even greater, The Mokelumne Express Chair, so will be running folks to the summit with access to Mokelumne West.

This would not be possible if it were not for the amazing amount of work and dedication from the unseen, work late into the wee hours of the night, heroes of snowmaking!!! As we move through the next week, we will continue to take advantage of temps when we can and continue our efforts for making more snow. Mother Nature looks to give us a change around the 15/16th of December so keep checking back in daily for weather updates.
