Groveland, CA…Continuing their efforts to engage in more direct community outreach and transparency, the Stanislaus National Forest’s Groveland Ranger District will host a community town hall event, Wednesday, June 12, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Groveland Community Resilience Center, 18986 Ferretti Road, Groveland, California.
Representative of the Ranger District as well as Forest Headquarters staff will be on hand to take questions, provide answers as well as give a general update about the forest.
“It’s my hope that folks living on the district take this opportunity to engage with district staff in addition to learning what’s going on in our area,” said Groveland District Ranger, Jim Junette.
Following the success of the town hall meeting held in April in Jamestown, the Groveland town hall is the second in what is anticipated to be a regular quarterly event. Announcements will be made soon with time, date, and location for town halls on the Mi-Wok/Summit District and the Calaveras District.
Scheduled for two hours, the first hour will be presentations by district around the Wildfire Crisis Strategy Landscape as well as updates from all major program areas with the second hour dedicated to free form question and answer from the public. In addition to the formal presentation, the Forest’s traveling skins and skulls interpretative table will also be present.
