San Andreas, CA…For the appointment of Sheriff this special meeting is being held so the Board of Supervisors may conduct a public interview of the five (5) candidates. All of the candidates have submitted their application packets, meet the requirements to occupy the position of Sheriff and have participated in first round interviews by a ranking committee made up of law enforcement professionals.

The Board of Supervisors, with the consent of the candidates, will interview each candidate individually in the public forum. Each candidate will be asked the same interview questions which were submitted by the public and Board of Supervisors. If the candidates do not agree unanimously to individual interviews then all five candidates will be seated at a table and will take turns at answering the interview question first. If all five candidates agree to individual interviews, they will blind draw numbers to determine the order of the interviews.
Once the Board selects a candidate to be appointed to Sheriff a resolution will be brought forward on May 10, 2016 to memorialize the appointment.
