Valley Springs, CA…San Andreas CHP released the following details on this afternoon’s fatal collision. “On September 5, 2024, at approximately 1301 hours, CHP was dispatched to a collision which occurred on SR-26 east of Gold Creek Drive in Valley Springs, CA. Vehicle 1, (V-1) the only vehicle involved in the collision, was traveling on SR-26 eastbound, just east of Gold Creek Drive. For an unknown reason, V-1 crossed through the westbound lane of SR-26, traveled off the roadway and into a field on the north side of SR-26. V-1 then collided with a tree and the driver of V-1, (44 y/o male) suffered injuries resulting in his death. The passenger of V-1, (30 y/o female) suffered major injuries and was subsequently transported by ground ambulance to San Joaquin General Hospital in Stockton, CA.”

This collision is still under investigation.
