Fresh Snow at Bear Valley for Christmas Eve: 16″ and Counting!

Bear Valley, CA…9:30AM UPDATE: Mokelumne Express is now spinning! Runs Open: National, Monte Wolfe, Mokelumne, Mokelumne West, Lodge Run, Cub Meadow

8:06AM UPDATE: 12″ of fresh snow and it just keeps rolling in! There is a potential delay on Mokelumne this morning but our team is working to open up the runs Monte and National (thin snowpack in those areas exists, ski cautiously) along with Mokelumne West, Mokelumne, and Lodge Run plus Cub chair with cub meadow. Stay tuned for updates.

6:30AM UPDATE: 10″ and counting of fresh snow!

As of 4:30 AM, we’ve received 8” of fresh snow, with light snow still falling at the summit! Conditions are shaping up beautifully this Christmas Eve. Stay tuned for our 24-hour snowfall total at 8:00 AM and get ready to celebrate the fresh snow with us on the hill today.

A major weather system continues through Friday, December 26th, bringing several feet of snowfall. Our teams will be ready to open more terrain as conditions allow. We will provide real time updates as the storm rolls in. A clearing is anticipated for the weekend of December 27–28, along with cold temperatures that will allow snowmaking to supplement the natural snowfall and help open additional terrain more quickly.

Below is everything you need to know before heading out on the hill today!
