Sonora, CA…11 June 2016, at approx. 7:29 am, an Officer took a vehicle theft report of a red, 2001, Ford Expedition. The vehicle was unlocked, with the keys left inside. After the Officer completed taking the report, he observed a vehicle matching the description. The vehicle attempted to elude the Officer then pulled into a driveway of a residence on Saratoga Road, as if the driver knew who lived at the residence. It was later determined the resident didn’t know the suspect.

Officers contacted the subject, who had exited the vehicle. When ordered to stop, the subject refused to. When one of the Officers grabbed the subjects arm, the subject punched the Officer in the face. An electronic control device was successfully deployed, and the subject was taken into custody.
