Make Princess Your Princess Today!

San Andreas, CA…Meet Princess (A061392), a female Border Collie/Pit Bull mix, about 8 months old and weighing 34 pounds.  Every princess deserves a happily ever after, and this one is hoping hers includes a loving family and a home of her own. With her bright white coat, distinctive black eye patch and ear, and an adorable heart-shaped marking on her nose, Princess looks like she stepped right out of a storybook. But it’s her sweet, affectionate personality that makes her truly special.

At just 8 months old, Princess is full of happy puppy energy and enthusiasm for life. She absolutely adores people and seems to believe that everyone she meets is a potential new best friend. Whether she’s greeting strangers on a walk, soaking up affection from shelter volunteers, or asking for another cuddle, Princess has a wonderful way of making people smile.

Princess is also something of a Velcro dog. She loves staying close to her human companions, sometimes walking so near their legs that they have to be careful not to trip over her. She’s still learning the finer points of walking on a leash, but she’s eager to please, loves treats, and takes them gently. With patience, encouragement, and consistent training, this bright youngster has plenty of potential to become a wonderful companion.

Like many puppies, Princess is still discovering how to navigate the world around her. She can be uncertain around unfamiliar dogs, but she’s making encouraging progress with the help of shelter volunteers. She gets along beautifully with her brother Max and has begun making other canine friends, including a gentle Great Pyrenees who seemed to offer just the reassurance she needed. Each positive experience is helping Princess grow more confident.
Princess keeps her kennel tidy, suggesting she may have a head start on housetraining. What she needs most now is a patient, loving family willing to help her continue learning while enjoying all the affection and playful energy she has to offer.

Princess may not come with a castle or a royal carriage, but she has something much better: a heart full of love and a lifetime of companionship waiting to be shared. All that’s missing from her fairy tale is the family who will give her the happily ever after she deserves.
