CCWD Launches New Payment System

San Andreas, CA…Paying CCWD water and sewer bills just got a lot easier with the launch of a new payment processing system in late June. This new system – called Paymentus – was put into place as a direct result of CCWD Customer Service representatives listening to customer feedback. Some of the most common requests were for automatic payments using credit cards, paying over the phone using checks and a choice to pay monthly instead of bimonthly. All these options are now available, along with a suite of other new features – all free of charge to customers…

The new, user-friendly system provides significant benefits to customers, enabling them to securely pay their bills faster and more conveniently. Every customer in the District has received a bill insert that provides details about the new system. Customers love the new system so much that nearly 1,000 people have already signed up since the launch.

Some of the most powerful new features are available online. To access these features, all customers have to do is go to www.ccwd.org and click on the “Pay My Bill” icon, which will take them to a Customer Login page. Once they have taken a few minutes to register for a new account, they have the ability to add single or multiple CCWD accounts to their profile, view digital bills, pay bills using credit, debit or e-check, set up auto pay and set up payment reminders using email, text message or phone call. All payment information is protected using bank-level security. The system is also designed to work well on tablets and mobile phones in addition to laptop and desktop computers. Additionally, CCWD is developing applications for Android and Apple smart phones to allow convenient mobile payments.

One of the most popular new features is the auto-pay system, which can be set up online after registering for a new account. What customers love is the flexibility of the auto-pay schedule and ease of use. Customers can now choose to pay weekly, biweekly, monthly, bimonthly or on the due date. While auto pay can be set up using credit, debit or a checking/savings account, CCWD recommends using a bank account and choosing the “on the due date” auto-pay option for best results. Important note: all customers who had auto-pay set up using our old system MUST sign up using the new system. Auto-pay will be discontinued using the old system as of August 31, 2016.

Because CCWD is transitioning from an old online system (Merchant Transact) to a new one, all customers who want to pay online must create new accounts by going to www.ccwd.org. The old online system will only be supported through August 31, 2016.

For those who prefer paying bills over the phone, CCWD now offers an automated system that allows payments to be made twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. The system accepts payments using credit, debit and e-checks. Customers can access this system at any time by calling (844) 516-4349.

And, of course, CCWD will continue accepting payments by check via mail and cash at the front counter.
