Sequoia Home Health and Companion Care Company Comes To Sonora

Sonora, CA…– The Tuolumne County Economic Development Authority is
proud to announce that Sequoia Home Health and Companion Care is expanding its territory
beyond their current Clovis/Fresno area and now have a new office in Sonora, California.

Over the next few months Sequoia Home Health and Companion Care will be creating forty to
fifty new healthcare positions within Tuolumne County. The positions created will include: RNs,
LVNs, PTs, OTs, STs, MSWs, certified HHAs, and caregivers.
“Mother Lode Job Training is excited to assist Sequoia Home Health Care with their recruiting
needs. Mother Lode Workforce Board recognizes that the health care industry is a growing
sector within Tuolumne County and looks forward to assisting our local residents become
employed within our own community.” said Vicki Long.
During 2016, the population of Sonora has reached close to five thousand people. With nearly
twenty-two hundred of those residents over the age of sixty. Sequoia Home Health and
Companion Care saw the need for another agency to begin serving the local population and
jumped at the opportunity to help the residents of Tuolumne County.
Sequoia’s Home Health services provide skilled care to help you, or someone you love, get
healthy while at home. It is an insurance covered benefit provided by medical professionals.
“I’ve started hiring caregivers in the Sonora area and have been met with great enthusiasm,”
said Maty Tucker, manager of the Sequoia Companion Care arm. “I’m excited to begin providing
services to local residents and can already see the quality in staffing that we’ll be able to offer.”
