Sonora, CA…Tuesday morning just after 9:30 AM, the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a suspicious circumstance. A moving company reported they located what appeared to be child pornography at a home of a client. The Deputy responded to the Sonora home and contacted the owner, 62 year old Paul Bauman.

Bauman gave the Deputy permission to enter the home and provided him with the child pornography images he had duplicated. Bauman admitted to having viewed thousands of images for many years through the Internet, on his computer. Deputies confiscated his computer and numerous printed images of child pornography. Bauman was arrested and booked into the Tuolumne County Jail for possessing obscene material of minor in a sexual act, sexual exploitation of a child and send or sell obscene material of a minor.
