San Andreas, CA…Mark Twain Medical Center in San Andreas will be hosting
the “9th Annual Teddy Bear Clinic” on the mornings of October 18th, 19th and 20th.
Approximately 450 kindergartners, their teachers and parent chaperones will have the opportunity to
tour most areas of the hospital in order to learn about the hospital departments, while improving their
comfort level within a hospital setting.
With the help of the California Highway Patrol San Andreas, Angels Camp Police Department,
CAL FIRE, PHI Air Medical, California Highway Patrol Air Operations, East Bay Municipal Utility
District, US Forest Service, American Legion Ambulance, and the San Andreas Fire Department, the
students will also have the opportunity to tour helicopters, ambulances, law enforcement emergency
vehicles and fire engines, all of which are key factors for GREAT health care in our community. The
safety tips and engagement with uniformed public safety personnel creates trust and inspires future
career choices. After touring the hospital, students will end their day by having lunch, receiving a
