New Melones Lake, CA…Get up close at the New Melones Dam overlook – Get a stunning view of the structure that holds the lake’s water in. A Park Ranger will be available on site to answer questions about the dam and history of New Melones Lake. The dam overlook is off of Old Melones Dam Rd/Peoria Flat Rd, which can be reached by taking O’Byrnes Ferry Rd from Hwy 108.

You might call it the “off” season, but it’s a fantastic time to explore some of the lesser known aspects of New Melones Lake and its environs. This month, take advantage of the following interpretive and recreational programs: All activities are free of charge, and children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
