Angels Camp, CA…NOTICE OF INTENT TO ADOPT A NEGATIVE DECLARATION Lead Agency: Calaveras County Planning Department, 891 Mountain Ranch Rd., San Andreas, CA 95249 2015-074 ADMINISTRATIVE USE PERMIT FOR VERIZON WIRELESS
The applicant is requesting approval of an Administrative Use Permit (AUP) to install new telecommunications equipment on an existing PG&E high transmission tower and supporting ground equipment. Improvements include extending the height of the tower from 120’ to 132’ with the addition of six panel antennae, constructing several new ground cabinets, new cable lines, and a 15KW standby diesel generator with a 54 gallon fuel tank with the appropriate safety signage. Verizon will also install a new 6 ft. tall chain link fence with three strands of barbed wire along the top and a retaining wall.
Project Location: 1982 Highway 49, Angels Camp, CA 95222, APNs: 064-004-012 and 064-004-032 are located in Section 03, T02N, R13E, MDM.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Calaveras County Planning Department has prepared a Negative Declaration/Initial Study, pursuant to the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), for the above described project.
PUBLIC REVIEW PERIOD: A 20 day public review period for the Negative Declaration/Initial Study will commence on November 9, 2016 through November 29, 2016 for interested individuals and public agencies to submit written comments on the document. Any written comments on the Negative Declaration/Initial Study must be received at the above address within the public review period. Copies of the Negative Declaration/Initial Study are available for review at the above address or by contacting Scott Speer sspeer@co.calaveras.ca.us in the Planning Department.
Pursuant to Government Code 65009, if anyone challenges the above listed issues in a court of law, the challenge may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raise during the public review process, as described in this notice. You are welcome to review the application at the Calaveras County Planning Department during normal working hours, 8:00 a. m. to 4:00 p. m., Monday through Friday except county holidays. Copies of the project file can be purchased at the Planning Department for the cost of making the copies.
