Arnold, CA…Yesterday marked an end of an era for the Ebbetts Pass Fire District. Battalion Chief Brian Hukkanen worked his last shift at EPFD Station One. He has retired after a 37 year career of helping our community. He started as a 15 year old cadet and has been with EPFD since 1979. After thousands of calls for fires, vehicle collisions, medical aids and more Battalion Chief Hukkanen will be moving on to a new phase in his life. Not to worry though as the Hukkanen name will still be well represented in our area as his sons Aaron and Kyle are both in uniform and working in the family business. Congratulations Brian, Thank You and you will leave large boots to fill.
