West Point, CA…Born June 26th 1946 in Hayward Ca to Charles Brabbin & Caroline Brabbin-Wilson. He was the oldest son of his six siblings. Entered into rest December 11th 2016 at his home in West Point Ca.
He moved to Calaveras County as a child and remained until his passing. He attended Calaveras High School before joining the Army in February 1966. He proudly served as a Helicopter Mechanic in Germany. He was honorably discharged after earning a National Defense Service Medal. Harvey worked for over 40 years in the logging industry in many capacities, but mainly as a mechanic. His greatest joy was his love of Native American Heritage and riding his motorcycle, especially for the annual toy runs.
He is survived by his sisters Ramona Ethel Valdez, Sharon Anne Mahoney and Wendy Gayle Valdez, his children Ramona Louise Brabbin, Harvey Milton Brabbin, Jr and Briana Lynn Creekmore. He had seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was loved by all who knew him.
He is predeceased by both parents and his Step-Father Charles Edward Wilson, his sister Lou Juan Brabbin and his brother Michael Wayne Brabbin.
Viewing will be held Saturday December 17th from 8:30 – 10:30 at the San Andreas Memorial Chapel, 254 St Charles Street followed by a graveside service at the West Point Cemetery at 300 Cemetery Lane with a Potluck Celebration of Life afterward. Location TBA.
