Reno, NV…Ryan Buchanan and Ellie Tafjen sophomores from Bret Harte along with over 2100 pole vaulters from around the nation attended a two day summit this past weekend in Reno. Athletes worked with elite vaulters from across the country for one day, then competed with vaulters in their class the next day.

They vaulted at the Reno Livestock events center where they had 14 vaulting pits going nonstop. This summit is the largest gathering of pole vaulters in the world each year. The skills and techniques they learned will prepare them for the upcoming track and field season.
