“Annie” Presented By Calaveras Sings Theatre Arts Repertory For Kids!

Angels Camp,CA…The sun will come out to the Mother Lode with “Annie,” the musical sensation brought to life by Calaveras Sings Theatre Arts Repertory for Kids (CSTARS).

Based upon the popular Harold Gray comic strip “Little Orphan Annie,” with music by Charles Strouse, lyrics by Martin Charnin, and book by Thomas Meehan, this classic family musical follows the orphan Annie’s quest to find her parents in 1930s New York City. Along the way she meets the gruff billionaire Daddy Warbucks, his charming assistant Grace, and a slew of unforgettable characters. Though her attempts to escape a hard knock life are consistently challenged by Miss Hannigan, the desperate and bitter orphanage matron, and her brother Rooster Hannigan and his new flame Lily St. Regis, Annie and her fellow orphans hold out hope that the sun will come out tomorrow for a better life for them all.

This limited-run performance will take place at the Bret Harte High School Center for the Performing Arts on February 10-12. Recent productions of “Mary Poppins” and “The Little Mermaid” have shown a high demand for tickets, so get yours today!
