Murphys, CA…A pro-Measure B sign near the Gold Creek neighborhood on highway 26 was heavily damaged by vandals over night on Saturday, February 25. The sign, having been erected only two days prior was taken down from its supporting structure, which was also damaged, and sliced with a sharp instrument. David Tunno of The Committee to Ban Commercial Cultivation, and a proponent of Measure B repaired the sign the following morning.
“This is indicative of the element marijuana regulation has brought to this County,” Tunno said. “Vandalizing campaign signs is against the law. We will not back down to them and we encourage the voters in this County to do likewise. Our best remedy is to beat them with our votes.”
