La Grange Odd Fellow Breakfast ~ March 12th

La Grange, CA…Time for a Spring joy-ride, destination La Grange. The Odd Fellows of LaFayette Historical Lodge #65 remind you of our monthly breakfast, always on the second Sunday at the IOOF Hall in downtown La Grange. Sunday March 12th is the date this month. Breakfast hours are 8 to 11 am, with a menu of biscuits and gravy, sausage, ham & cheese omelets and French toast. Complimentary coffee and orange juice round out the meal, all for $6. And we have new child breakfast prices: ages 7 to 12 are $3, 6 and under are free.

Breakfast is served in the down-home atmosphere of our historic 1881 vintage Odd Fellows Hall located on the main street of town at 30018 Yosemite Blvd. It is available for public use and the scene of many community events in La Grange, including parties and arts events.

Award-winning local artist Mary Anne Taylor will hold a solo art show there on Saturday, March 18 from 10:00 am to 4:00 PM. Ms. Taylor received her art training from Modesto Junior College and studied under renowned artists Dan Petersen and Jim Soares. While her primary medium has been watercolor, Ms. Taylor’s work includes paintings in colored pencil, pastel and oil pastel. Of the more than 30 works to be displayed, there are landscapes, still-life and portraiture. The show is open to the public, and admission is free.

While you’re in La Grange, take a walking tour of this historic Gold Rush town founded in 1848. See Louie’s Place Saloon and Grill, the Floto Hotel and the old Hammond and Bates Store all, on the main street. The La Grange Museum, open Sundays at the east end of town, is just across from the Adobe Barn. Up on the hill you’ll see St. Louis Catholic Church and
the Old School House. And don’t miss the wildflowers, in bloom down at the Old La Grange Bridge over the Tuolumne River.
