San Andreas, CA…59 year old Robert Gaa from Valley Springs was riding his 2006 Harley Davidson westbound on Hwy 12 west of Hwy 49 sometime between the evening of May 20th & Sunday May 21st. He was negotiating a curve to his left at an unknown speed when he allowed his motorcycle to drift right and off the roadway. He traveled down an embankment where he collided with several trees before coming to a stop in a grass pasture below the north roadway edge.

He succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the collision. On May 23rd a pedestrian walking on Hwy 12 discovered the collision and flagged down a passing vehicle to call 911.

It is unknown if drugs and/or alcohol played a roll in this collision.
