San Andreas, CA…On the morning of June 28, 2017, it was discovered that the Calaveras County public website had been targeted by an unknown third person(s) or entity. Because of this, members of the public accessing the County website would instead see an unauthorized message and various concerning photographs. Therefore, the County website has temporarily been taken off-line.

It is the County’s understanding from recent news reports that other state and local jurisdictions nationwide were recently affected in similar ways. The County has no basis to believe there was any access of or damage to County systems or data, and is currently in the process of further investigating the incident. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and are working diligently to restore the website as quickly as possible.
