Drug Arrests Made After Traffic Stop Sonora

Sonora, CA…Early yesterday morning a traffic stop for expired registration was conducted on Mono Way near Cavalieri Road in Sonora. Driver, 33 year old Travis Magruder and passengers, 33 year old Levy Williams, 31 year old Stephanie Shelman and 34 year old Elizabeth Yacovetti were contacted in the vehicle. None of the occupants had identification on them.

A search of the vehicle and occupants netted 1 gram of methamphetamine, a hypodermic needle, marijuana, and an open bottle of whiskey. Yacovetti, a Modesto resident, gave deputies a false name and her true identity was eventually revealed. She was later found to have 25 grams of methamphetamine hidden in her person.

Yacovetti was arrested and booked into the Tuolumne County Jail for possession of a controlled substance, possession for sale, possession of paraphernalia and giving false information to a peace officer.

The other three occupants were cited for possession of drug paraphernalia. Magruder was additionally cited for possession of less than a gram of methamphetamine and expired registration.
