Valley Springs, CA…A Mountain Ranch man was driving his 1997 Dodge eastbound on hwy 26 at 55 mph. A Valley Springs woman was driving her 2002 Saturn eastbound on Hwy 26 ahead of the Dodge. The collision occurred when she brought her vehicle to a stop in order to make a left turn onto Olive Orchard Road.

As she was waiting for apporaching traffic to clear the driver of the Dodge failed to see her stopped ahead. When the Valley Springs man finally noticed that the Saturn was stopped he appied the Dodge’s brakes but was unable to stop in time.

Subsequently the front of the Dodge collided into the back of the Saturn. The Valley Springs woman was taken to Mark Twain Medical Center with minor injuries.
