Sonora, CA…On Saturday, just after 1:30 p.m., the Sonora Police Department responded to an injury collision on Mono Way near Sanguinetti Road. When the officer arrived on scene, he identified the driver of a gray 2006 BMW sedan as 24-year-old Ryan E. Morrison of Sonora. Morrison was determined to be under the influence of alcohol at the time of this collision.

Because this collision caused injuries to another party involved, Morrison was arrested for felony DUI. During a more thorough search at the jail, Morrison was found to be in possession of Heroin and a prescription narcotic.

Morrison was booked into the Tuolumne County jail on felony DUI charges and an additional felony charge of bringing a controlled substance into the jail facility
