Two Indoor Marijuana Grows Seized in Valley Springs

Valley Springs, CA…Two more indoor marijuana grows were seized last week by the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Marijuana Enforcement Team. On 12-29-17 Deputies served search warrants at two houses on Greer Way in Valley Springs. Both locations were identified as unregistered illegal marijuana cultivation sites inside residences. It is suspected that the two locations are associated with each other. 696 marijuana plants and over 10 pounds of processed marijuana were seized at one house while another 47 pounds of processed marijuana was seized from the second house. No subjects were present during service of the warrants. This case is still under investigation.

Deputies are finding a trend where the entire interior of residential houses are converted for illegal marijuana growing with the operations running on timer systems. Some of these houses are not occupied full time with people living there. The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office encourages anyone with information on potentially illegal marijuana cultivation sites or sites manufacturing concentrated cannabis to call the Sheriff’s Marijuana Tip Line at (209)754-6870.
