Making the Most of iMovie Explored when SMUG Moves Back to Arnold

Arnold, CA…How to make entertaining videos using iMovie will be explored when the Sierra Macintosh Users Group (SMUG) moves back to its warm-weather location in Arnold for the Tuesday, April 10 meeting that will begin at 7 p.m. in the assembly room of the Ebbetts Pass Fire District, 1037 Blagen Rd., just off Highway 4. Seth Summersett, a professional computer programmer and one of SMUG’s major presenters, will take members into the world of iMovies.

“It’s possible to make great movies with iMovie in iOS and MacOS,” says Summersett. “We’ll explore creating trailers you can quickly share with family and friends as well as full-length, get your popcorn ready, movies. We’ll discuss importing video, export video formats, screen sizes and file size choices.

“Come prepared to learn (and share) tips for making great movies on your Mac or iOS device.”

His young cohort, and son, Cedar who has amazed SMUG members with his computer skills, will assist Summersett.
As always, questions about any Apple products and applications will be welcomed.

SMUG meetings are designed for dues paying members but anyone is welcome to attend to see if they would like to join the group. SMUG was founded in 1995 and is a non-profit organization run completely by volunteers. It meets the second Tuesday of the month, January through November. Annual dues are $20 for an individual or couple payable at the first of the year.

The organization exists to keep Apple users abreast of the latest developments and to address the nagging questions that arise from time to time. Its goal is to take the mystery out of computers and to enable members to take advantage of all the features their Mac products possess.
