Twain Harte, CA…On Sunday evening Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a home on Teague Lane in Twain Harte for a report of a burglary. When the homeowner arrived at the residence, a red Chevrolet S10 Blazer was seen leaving the property. The homeowner was familiar with the Blazer and knew it belonged to 68-year-old Randy Gulizia. The door to the garage had been kicked in and numerous items had been stolen.
After the report was taken the deputy located a red Chevy Blazer with a blocked license plate on Washington Street in Sonora that matched the description of the suspect’s vehicle and conducted a traffic enforcement stop.
The driver Randy Gulizia was driving with a suspended license, expired registration, no proof of insurance and was currently on parole. During a search of the vehicle, tools, motorcycle parts and motorcycle helmets reported stolen from the Teague Lane home were found. Gulizia was also in possession of prescription medication without proof of the prescription.
Additionally, three firearms, ammunition and several methamphetamine pipes were located during a parole search conducted on Gulizia’s RV located on Hwy 49.
Gulizia was arrested and booked into the Tuolumne County Jail.
A parole hold was placed along with charges for burglary, possession of stolen property, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, possession of controlled substance paraphernalia, felon in possession of a firearm, prohibited person in possession of ammunition, driving on a suspended license, expired registration and no proof of insurance.
