Sierra Village, CA…From the Tuolumne Sheriff’s Dept…”We’re happy to report, a stolen car has been returned to its owner and the thief is in the Tuolumne County Jail. On Saturday morning, our office received a BOL(Be on the Lookout) notification out of Tracy regarding a stolen white 2014 Honda Accord that may be headed to our county.

A CHP officer discovered the Honda at a cabin on Merrill Springs Road near Sierra Village. The CHP officer and our deputies also found a man at the cabin, who identified himself as 23-year-old Devin Lewis of Turlock. Lewis had the keys to the stolen Honda and admitted driving the car to the cabin.

Lewis was arrested and booked into the Tuolumne County Jail for possession of a stolen vehicle. Thank you to Sonora CHP for their partnership in making this arrest.”
