San Andreas, CA…Proclamation Recognizing the 2019 Valedictorians from Calaveras High School WHEREAS, each year an elite group of students meets the academic standard necessary to be declared Valedictorians of their graduating high school class; and WHEREAS, the coursework completed is difficult and the competition for such an honor is competitive; and WHEREAS, these students serve as role models for their classmates and underclassmen through exemplifying critical thinking, effective communication, problem solving, and organizational skills;
and WHEREAS, in addition to achieving a cumulative grade point average of 4.0 or higher, these students have demonstrated many admirable qualities such as integrity, hard work, determination, and a commitment to excellence throughout their four years in high school; and
WHEREAS, these students are honored at their high school graduation ceremony, but, because the achievement is so significant and worthy of commendation, the Calaveras Board of Supervisors wishes to recognize them as well; and
WHEREAS, the Calaveras High School Valedictorians for 2019 in order of class rank are Lucas Borchin (4.313), Annah Miles (4.289), Mateo Alliende (4.247), Michael Snider (4.224), Michael Rourke (4.191), Isabel Morrison (4.185), Sophia Schlenz (4.163), Kylie Freitas (4.128), Tyler Nagano (4.104), Lindsey Gaspers (4.082), Kaiea Sender (4.082), Jacob Young (4.061), Jillian Zahniser (4.061), Jordyn Okumura (4.040), Samuel Cragun (4.021), Zoey Meidinger (4.021), Andrew Wydner (4.020) and Alexis Dawe (4.00); and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED, the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors commends these students named as Valedictorians for 2019 on their impressive accomplishments.
