Murphys, CA…From Caltrans Distric 10…”CLEANUP UNDERWAY ON HIGHWAY 4 ABOVE MURPHYS OK now that we are done with snow removal and Pass opening we have started our spring cleanup of the Utica Grade above Murphys in Calaveras County. The crew from Camp Connell will be removing the small slides that came down along the road from the heavy rains this winter. They’ll also be cleaning the ditches to prepare for the next one!

We will be working up the hill towards Forest Meadows for the next two weeks Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The work will require one-way traffic control, so expect 10-minute delays.
