Human Trafficking Summit & Panel Discussion In San Andreas (Updated)

San Andreas, CA…The public is invited to a Human Trafficking Panel Discussion and Action Summit, to be held 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. on August 27th at the main branch of the Calaveras County Library in San Andreas. This summit will feature a presentation by the Mark Twain Medical Center followed by questions and answers and a short documentary film, A Trafficked Life, by Michael Fagan. The film explores the problem of human trafficking in the Foothill and San Joaquin Valley communities. Refreshments will be served.

This event is sponsored by Mark Twain Medical Center and St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church of San Andreas. The Episcopal Diocese of San Joaquin is mobilizing its churches and resources to support efforts to spread awareness of the reality of human trafficking in our area. Working in concert with multiple agencies, both church and state can bring freedom to the oppressed and justice in our communities.
