Arnold, CA….Traffic & Fire Update….”Blessings from the Devil” Keeping Firefighters Busy! As my mom used to say…”Thunderstorms in the summer are blessings from the Devil”. What she meant by that was that any blessings from the precipitation from the thunderstorms were always outweighed by the costs and energy spent to take care of the fires created. This morning proved that old adage multiple times. There were Four fires this morning that kept crews busy. Below are details from CAL FIRE TCU..

#Fire1_1 just found by AA440. One-half acre. Requesting one engine, one crew and an air tanker. Located near Mountain Ranch Road and Rocky Road.

#Fire3_3 is located by AA440. A single tree with some ground litter burning. Access off Sky High Drive.Calaveras County.

#Fire2_1 is in Battalion 2 near Copperopolis. Fire is contained
#Fire3_1 is in Battalion 3 near Swiss Ranch Road. Ground crews are still looking for it. AA440 will be overhead soon.
#Fire3_2 is in Battalion 3 in N Fork Moke River. Fire is contained by Helitack crew!

Fourth fire of the morning has been identified in the North Fork of the Mokelumne River drainage south of Highway 26 in the West Point area.
