Sonora, CA…From the Tuolumne Sheriff’s Dept…”A four-month long investigation has resulted in the arrest of two people in connection with the death of Jeremy Allen. 41-year old Michael Pierce of Sonora and 39-year-old Cyrus Cole of Tuolumne are facing charges of involuntary manslaughter, concealing an accidental death, burglary, taking a vehicle without consent, and conspiracy. We are still searching for one additional suspect.
Allen’s cause of death was due to mixed drug intoxication. During the medical emergency, Pierce, Cole, and 29-year-old Annastasia White of Jamestown failed to provide him help. The three had multiple opportunities to get Allen to a medical facility or call 911. After Allen died, Pierce and Cole dropped him off on a remote forest road off of Buchanan Mine Road in Tuolumne City. Pierce and Cole then went to Allen’s home and stole his truck and personal property. The truck was later found hidden under a tarp in the area of Fir Drive and Mountain View Road in Sonora.
We still need your help in locating Annastasia White (pictured below). She is described as 5’5”, 120 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. If you see Annastasia or know of her whereabouts, please call our office at (209) 533-5815.
Finally, a reminder that this tragedy could have been prevented. The suspects could have helped Allen without facing criminal drug charges. The Good Samaritan Law provides basic legal protection for anyone who helps others in distress or danger.”
