Calaveras County OES, PG&E PSPS Update…

San Andreas, CA…Good Morning Calaveras! We just completed the Sunday morning briefing with PG&E. If you woke up without power, you definitely are not alone. PG&E estimates that over 900,000 PG&E customers are without power here in California. No major changes were presented in the AM briefing as far as timing for the weather all clear (still expected about midnight on Monday Morning). Please remember that the PG&E crews have to inspect the lines prior to power restoration, and inspection only happens during daylight hours. Gusts in the North State topped out at 92 MPH, which has led to some non-PSPS related outages. What that means to us is that PG&E crews are also dealing with repairing those lines, in addition to the PSPS work, That said, PG&E’s goal is still complete restoration within 48 hours of the all clear. Let’s all hope they can achieve their goal.

The PG&E CRCs open at 8am this morning, and should be open to 8pm, but close times may vary a bit. Hot Coffee & Tea, snacks, cold water, bathrooms, information and some swag are all on the menu at the CRCs. Please leverage these centers to be more resilient and comfortable as needed.

If something comes up in between the briefings, we’ll do our best to get the word out to you folks here, as we have throughout the weekend. As always, thanks for the feedback over the last few days, and let’s keep looking out for each other! Thanks!!
