San Andreas, CA…We have just completed the morning PG&E Briefing, and got some really good news! PG&E received the weather all-clear, and commenced restoration operations at 5:22am this morning. We were out in the field at first light, and confirmed that PG&E is already out and working in the County. Again, PG&E is prioritizing those who have been without power the longest. PG&E has also confirmed that air assets are also airborne and inspecting lines at this time.
PG&E was not able to provide a restoration timetable, but will provide it as soon as possible; probably sometime this AM. PG&E’s goal has and remains to be complete restoration within 48 hours of the weather all-clear.
Restoration Operations: we are at 62% restored from the 10/26 event, and I will hazard a guess that the remaining percentage is what was de-energized (or remained de-energized) for yesterday’s event. PG&E expects to restore “significant portions” of the outage footprint today.
All four Community Resource Centers remain open for our communities. They are temperature controlled (aka WARM), and continue to offer snacks, hot coffee/tea, cold water, device charging and more. Please continue to leverage these resources as needed until power is fully restored.
As always, we remain grateful to our communities for the support here, and more importantly toward each other. Calaveras has proved its ability to come together as a whole community, and further demonstrated a level of resiliency rarely seen! THANK YOU!
