West Point Ca. CalFire TCU along with West Point Fire, Central Fire and CalFire AEU are responding to a reported Vegetation Fire near West Point off Hwy 26 and Higdon Road with Power Lines down at the scene. Use caution in the area please. Update coming soon.

Update: 5:23pm A second Fire is now being worked on by CalFire resources in the same area off Centennial Mine Road. AA440 with T83, T82 and Copter 404 are over these incidents. All AEU resources are being directed to the Centennial Mine Incident.

Update: 5:33pm Higdon Incident FORWARD PROGRESS STOPPED HOSE LINE IN PLACE. Can handle with units on scene. PG&E requested.  Centennial Incident Copter 404 working making water drops to cool hot areas. Releasing both Tankers back to Columbia.  PG&E also required on this incident.

Update: 5:40pm Fires being managed by resources on scene of both incidents. Some resources being canceled or released.  USE CAUTION IN THE AREA FOR THE NEXT 3 HOURS PLEASE.

Update: 5:46pm AA440 and Copter 404 both released from both incidents and headed for home. Best of news!!

Update: 5:49pm Fire crews will be mopping up both of these incidents over the next three hours. Please use caution in the area, do not block the road ways and please be safe out there.
