La Grange, CA…On February 4, 2020, at approximately 2:30 P.M, a 26-year-old male from La Grange, CA was driving his 2003 Ford Focus westbound on State Route 132, just west of Zarzamora Street at a high of speed. The driver lost control of his vehicle and allowed it to travel off the north roadway edge of State Route 132. After leaving the roadway, the vehicle traveled over a berm and became airborne. While in the air, the vehicle began to overturn and landed on the ground. After landing on the ground, the vehicle continued to overturn until it collided into a tree.
The driver was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle and came to rest on the hillside. The driver suffered major injuries and was transported by ground ambulance to the Don Pedro Dam where he was then flown by air ambulance to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto for treatment.
This crash is still under investigation and alcohol and/or drugs may be a factor in this collision.
