Second Stabbing in As Many Days in Tuolumne County Leads to Arrest of Sonora Man

Sonora, CA…Just after midnight last night, deputies were called to Adventist Health Sonora for a reported stab victim who had been admitted into the emergency room. Deputies contacted the victim and learned that the victim and 30-year-old Casey Bryan of Sonora, started arguing over prescription medication. The argument escalated and the two began physically fighting. Once the two separated, the victim realized he had been stabbed and Casey was holding a knife. Casey left the house and the victim went to the hospital for treatment. The victim had been stabbed twice but neither were life threatening injuries. Deputies attempted to locate Casey at the time of the report but were unsuccessful.

Just before 10 am, the Sheriff’s Office received a tip that Casey was at the skate park off Greenley Road in Sonora. Deputies responded to the area and were able to successfully arrest Casey without incident. Casey was booked into the County Jail for assault with a deadly weapon.
