Calaveras High School to present “Oklahoma!” March 13 – 15!

San Andreas, CA…Calaveras High School Performing Arts is proud to present its Spring 2020 musical, Rodger’s and Hammerstein’s “Oklahoma!” Onstage at the Calaveras High School Performing Arts Center in San Andreas for one weekend only, performances are March 13 at 7:00, March 14 at 2:00 and 7:00, and March 15 at 2:00. In a Western territory just after the turn of the 20th century, a high-spirited rivalry between local farmers and cowboys provides a colorful background for Curly (Zachary Zahniser), a charming cowboy, and Laurey (Amaya Halepota and Madeleine Hedger, alternate performances), a feisty farm girl, to play out their love story. Their romantic journey, as bumpy as a surrey ride down a country road, contrasts with the comic exploits of brazen Ado Annie (J’Cie Garrett) and hapless Will Parker (Nate DeYarmon) in a musical adventure embracing hope, determination and the promise of a new land.
