Mokelumne Hill, CA…A 59 year old Mokelumne Hill man sustained major injuries in a head on collision with a 19 year old man from Columbia. On Oct. 8, 2015 at approximately 1100 hours the 19 year old Columbia man was driving a 1999 Toyota Taxoma on Hwy 49 northbound just south of Campo Seco Turnpike. The Mokelumne Hill man was approaching him raveling southbound in a 2005 Chevy Colorado. As the two vehicles approached each other, the Columbia man drove his Toyota directly into the path of the Chevrolet causing the two vehicles to collide head on.

The driver of the Chevrolet sustained major injuries and was taken to Sutter Amador.
