PG&E Continues to Make Progress Getting Grid Back Up Outside of Electra Fire Area

Amador & Calaveras Counties, CA…PG&E continues to respond to outages affecting approximately 8,000 customers in parts of Amador and Calaveras Counties, down from about 15,000 customers. PG&E has deenergized several distribution lines for firefighter safety in the area at the request of Cal Fire crews battling the Electra fire.

Working with Cal Fire, PG&E was given access to priority areas of the fire where are assets were no longer at immediate risk, allowing us to restore power to approximately 4,000 customers over Tuesday night.

PG&E continues to work closely with Cal Fire and has 11 Safety and Infrastructure Protection Team (SIPT) engines working to treat assets that could be impacted by the fire.

Based on the reported location and timing of the Electra Fire and subsequent PG&E outages, PG&E understands PG&E equipment was not involved in the ignition.
