Murphys, CA…Claudia Andona is elated about walking for the first time in New York Fashion Week for couture designer Lulu et Gigi. At 5 years old she will be the youngest child to have ever walked for the French designer. In October, Claudia made her runway debut and walked for couture kids designer Nancy Vuu in LA Fashion Week. Claudia began her modeling career only 6 short months ago when she signed with MDT in San Francisco. She has since modeled for such companies as Driscoll’s Strawberries, Dave and Bella, Pottery Barn, and filmed the commercial Mr. Telp (link below). In September, she was published in Young Fashion Kids Magazine as one of “September’s Most Beautiful” and in October she was featured in Surreal Beauty Magazine Jr. edition. When Claudia isn’t modeling or acting she loves playing with her classmates in transitional kindergarten at Michelson Elementary in her hometown of Murphys, California. She also enjoys baseball, soccer, ballet, gymnastics, horseback riding and boutique modeling. When she isn’t doing an activity you will find her playing Legos, dress up, or with one of her animals. She is honestly a pint sized fire cracker that loves everything sparkly and gold and is always up for a new adventure.
Lulu Et Gigi:
Lulu et Gigi is a luxury children’s clothing line that believes in creating custom clothes that are as “unique as the children who wear them.” The designer, Eni Buiron, is a renowned designer and couturier, based in France. She has lived and worked all over the world, including France, Italy, Germany, Taiwan, Hungary, the United States, and Canada. Buiron wants her collections to “help empower girls to believe that strong is beautiful, in hopes that they learn beauty lies within and comes from a place of strength.” This year at New York Fashion week she will be debuting her most elegant and sophisticated collection to date. “We take the finest textiles, create clean, chic silhouettes and turn that blank canvas into wearable art” says Buiron. This year’s collection is inspired by the Imperial Romanov family of Russia and ancient folk motifs from her Hungarian heritage. “We have been greatly inspired by Russia’s winters; glistening snow, ancient architecture, and folk art motifs.” The collection will be more feminine, more dainty, and something rather unexpected from the brand. It is to meant to “transport the children who wear the garments to another place and time, to to inspire them to get in touch with the greatness that lies within, to embrace their uniqueness.”
