Sonora, CA….It does not feel like it this weekend, but the autumn equinox is fast approaching! As we enter into this season please know that the archery hunt season has begun and rifle hunt season is fast approaching. Hunters are allowed to hunt on Forest lands and in the Emigrant, Mokelumne and Carson-Iceberg Wilderness. It is a good idea to wear bright colors in the forest during this time! Zones D5 and D6 are on the Stanislaus National Forest. Archery season August 20 – September 11
General season (rifle) September 24 – October 30 (Bear season continues until December 25 or earlier dependent on State guidance)

Zone D6
Archery season August 20 – September 11
General season (rifle) September 17 – October 30 (Bear season continues until December 25 or earlier dependent on State guidance)
